About Intersparc
Why build trading automation that remains inspectable?
Intersparc focuses on explicit rules, test records and clear handovers for people responsible for their own trading decisions.

A Johannesburg team working on trading workflows
Intersparc is a Johannesburg-based software business that builds tools for rule-based trading workflows. We help individual traders and small teams turn documented instructions into configurable automation, examine those instructions against historical data, connect supported broker interfaces and monitor what the software is doing. The work is technical, but its purpose is straightforward: an operator should be able to trace an event back to a rule and understand when intervention is needed. Since 2021, our focus has been on the practical details between a strategy written on paper and a workflow someone can supervise. Clients may work from Johannesburg or elsewhere in South Africa; technical fit depends more on the strategy, data and broker interface than on where a trading desk is located.
The working rhythm behind a setup
First review
We read the written rules and identify decisions that cannot yet be translated into precise conditions.
Configuration
We document triggers, exceptions, limits and connection behaviour before checking them against agreed scenarios.
Testing
Historical and non-live checks are recorded with their data sources and assumptions, including limitations.
Handover
The operator receives configuration notes, monitoring guidance and a clear route for reporting a technical issue.
What we do not decide for clients
We do not select investments, provide a trading strategy or promise a financial result. A backtest is evidence about a model under historical assumptions, not a forecast. Likewise, a position limit is an operational instruction, not protection from every market event. We ask clients to name the person who owns the strategy and will supervise live operation; if that responsibility is unclear, we would rather pause the setup than disguise the gap with software. Broker permissions, market conditions and third-party data also affect what can be delivered. Our process is to make those dependencies visible, confirm the agreed technical scope in writing and leave clients with records they can review or challenge.
What you can expect from our work
We favour documented decisions over settings that only the developer understands.
- Questions when a trading instruction is ambiguous
- A written scope before paid work begins
- Recorded assumptions in historical tests
- Checks for failures and interrupted connections
- A practical handover for the operator
Our job is to make the software's behaviour understandable. Whether a strategy should be used, and how much market exposure to accept, remains a decision for its owner.
